IGCSE ESL Training: Focus on Assessment
Jakarta, 6-7 March 2024
The aim of this training was to strengthen teachers' understanding of summative and formative assessment to better inform their teaching.
Introduction to IGCSE ESL
Jakarta 26-27 October 2023
The aim of this training was to help teachers teach IGCSE ESL for the first time. The training covered understanding of the syllabus, planning teaching and learning as well as using assessment materials to assess students' progress.
Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Tour of 5 Cities
These workshops were organised by Cambridge University Press in 2023 which was held in 5 cities across Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan and Makassar.) The workshops focused on teaching pedagogies such as, active learning, assessment for learning, metacognition, differentiation and language awareness.
Cambridge University Press Workshop
Makassar, 11 November 2023
I facilitated this workshop together with the other two Cambridge Science and Math Trainers/ Authors (Mr. Dicky Susanto & Mr. Philips Gunawidjaja). The workshop was attended by 49 teachers from various Cambridge International Schools in Makassar.
Cambridge University Press Workshop
Balikpapan, 9 November 2023
This workshop that I facilitated was part of the 5-city tour. It was attended by 40 teachers from 13 International and National Plus School in Balikpapan.

Online Training
I have lead several online training for Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press since 2018 for international audiences across Asia. These online workshops were done through Moodle, Zoom, Microsoft Team and Miro. Click here to see feedback for my recent online training.
Trainer Networking
Not only leading professional development courses, but I also contribute actively to the Cambridge English Trainer Network. I participate regularly in their online and face-to-face meetings to keep myself up-to-date with the latest teaching pedagogies and researches.
Trainer Upskilling
This is one of the most recent face-to-face trainer upskilling event that I attended in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The workshop focused on improving understanding of the syllabus, assessment and resources.
Mentoring University Interns
Apart from leading coaching and mentoring programme for staff, I also liaise with local universities and organise mentoring programme for intern students at school.
